On 27th and 28th October, The Laser Garden returned to the Festival of Physics, presented by the good folks of the Institute of Physics Scotland. This year’s festival took place in Dynamic Earth, the iconic geology museum which overlooks Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park.
The Laser Garden gazebo was set up in a sea of stalls with activities for all ages, including physics-based storytime which the toddler loved (and now knows the BSL for noisy and quiet).
It was fantastic to show a pair of wings made using lasers again, and talk to a keen audience about the science and engineering behind the sculptures. Special shout out to the very patient folk who waited over half an hour to come into a dark space and talk about art – hope it was worth the wait!
